Martin lands on podium with MARS at Tri-City Speedway
With Mother Nature washing out Friday's opener at the track, Logan Martin unloaded his Adams Construction No. 36 at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) on Saturday afternoon for the MARS Championship Series finale event.
Among 36 Late Models on the grounds, Martin laid down the second-fastest qualifying lap in his group before dominating his heat race. Rolling off third in the $5,000-to-win main event, Logan moved into the runner-up position and pestered Mike Harrison for the race lead before fading late to nab the final spot on the podium in third. He trailed Harrison and series champion Jason Feger while Gordy and Trevor Gundaker completed the Top-5.
