Logan Martin rolls to second victory of 2024 at Springfield Raceway with Comp Cams Super Dirt Series

CCSDS Doubleheader at Jackson and Magnolia Up Next

WEST PLAINS, Mo. (08/12/24) – Logan Martin extended his lead atop the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series point standings on Saturday night with a flag-to-flag victory at Springfield Raceway aboard his Adams Construction No. 36 Hughes Towing / Mr. Dent Collision Repair / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Cornett Thunder Racing Engine entry.

The $5,000 triumph for the West Plains, Missouri native marked his second win of the season and 13th career with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series.

“I love this place, it’s one of the raciest tracks in Missouri, one of the raciest tracks in the country,” Martin said. “It may not got to show that in the feature, but time and time again you come out here, it always puts on a good show. I’m super appreciative of the effort Jerry Hoffman and his staff put in night-in and night-out.”

Logan Martin returned to competition with Comp Cams Super Dirt Series over the weekend at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Oktaha, Okla.) to pilot his Hughes Construction No. 36 for the event serving as the opener for the doubleheader weekend.

With 21 Super Late Models checked in on Friday, Martin missed the setup in qualifying before moving up from fifth-to-third in his heat race. Starting from the fourth row in the $5,000-to-win feature, Logan finished just outside the Top-5 in sixth.

The following evening, Logan unloaded his Adams Construction No. 36 machine at one of his favorite tracks Springfield (Mo.) Raceway for the second leg of the tour's doubleheader weekend.

Finding speed among the 28-car field, Martin stopped the clock third-quickest and took the checkered flag in his heat race. Starting from the front-row in the 40-lap main event, Logan soared into the lead from the drop of the green flag and held off Sawyer Crigler in the final laps to secure the $5,000 payday. Martin led all 40-laps of the A-Main to record his 13th-career Comp Cams victory.

Martin holds a 52-point advantage atop the latest Comp Cams Super Dirt Series point standings.

Martin will take the next few weekends off before returning with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series at the end of the month. The two-day weekend at a pair of Mississippi tracks kicks off at Jackson Motor Speedway on Friday followed by Saturday’s finale at Magnolia Motor Speedway. Both programs offer a $5,000 top prize.
